Terms of Service

Using Franklin County Busted Mugshots means accepting these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, do not use the pages or the linked tools. The terms govern this private reference service and do not govern the sheriff, police departments, courts, IDOC, BOP, ICE, news outlets, or other sources reached through an outbound link.

Franklin County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and is not affiliated with a government body, sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or police agency. Neither this service nor its advertising partners offer FCRA-covered services. The pages point visitors toward Franklin County and Illinois records resources; they are not a private investigation firm and are not a consumer reporting agency.

What the Service Is

This is a private reference service with no ownership of official jail, police, court, or corrections databases. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, file a court form, or create a record. It describes sources and request paths so a visitor can contact the office that actually holds the information.

The pages connect visitors with Franklin County sheriff and city police routes, court access, state and federal locators, local news, and outside research tools. The Illinois FOIA framework, including 5 ILCS 140/3, belongs to the government record process, not to this service.

No Warranties

The service and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made about:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or current status.
  • Continuous access or uninterrupted uptime.
  • Freedom from errors, bugs, or security weaknesses.
  • The scope or thoroughness of an outside search result.

Custody status and public records can change without notice. Nothing here is an official statement from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a city police department, a court, IDOC, BOP, ICE, or another agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Franklin County Busted Mugshots and its operators are not liable for damages, losses, or claims arising from access to or use of the pages, linked tools, or information, including reliance on an inaccurate or outdated detail.

Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend and hold harmless Franklin County Busted Mugshots, its operators, and its partners from claims, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from the visitor’s use of the service, violation of these terms, or unlawful conduct.

Ownership of Content

Text, graphics, logos, layout, and code created for Franklin County Busted Mugshots belong to the service operator or its content partners unless a different owner is identified.
